Office Catering in Ottawa

Food that fits the agenda it arrived for.

Daytime workplace catering in Ottawa: meetings, working lunches, workshops, training days and breakfast sessions. The planning problem here is the agenda — when people eat relative to what is happening in front of them — which is a different job from a client reception at seven in the evening. This page covers the formats, the timing, the pre-order checklist and what a daytime booking costs.

The OH! approach

A beautiful party table,
ready when your guests arrive.

01

The question that decides the format

Does the food get eaten in one clear break, or stay available while the session continues? A break means a table that lands at a fixed time, gets hit hard for fifteen minutes and clears quickly, so quantity matters more than staying power. Continuous means a share-style surface that still looks deliberate ninety minutes after it went out, which changes both the menu and the amount held back. Everything else follows from that one answer.

02

Working lunches

Clean, substantial food that can be eaten beside an open laptop with one hand on a trackpad. Nothing that needs a knife, nothing that drips onto a keyboard, and dietary markers legible at a glance so nobody stops a discussion to ask what is in something. Sandwiches or tartlets, a grain or leaf salad with the dressing separate, cut vegetables, cheeses, savoury bites and a small sweet close covers a working lunch that people remember afterwards.

03

Breakfast meetings

Anything starting before 9 a.m. reshapes the day. Bakery is collected the same morning to arrive fresh, which sets our own start. Coffee is usually the building’s arrangement, and we plan around whatever urn or machine exists on the floor. Buildings that unlock at seven give a narrow setup window, so we confirm the access before quoting an early start.

04

Workshops, training days and multi-hour sessions

A workshop breaks when it breaks, and the schedule on the invite is optimistic by lunchtime. A share-style surface absorbs that flexibility, and anything running past ninety minutes is quoted with a replenishment plan so the afternoon does not run on a display that has been standing since nine. For a full-day session we plan the morning and afternoon as two separate moments with different weight.

05

The boardroom surface

Boardroom credenzas, kitchen islands and meeting-room side tables all have different footprints, and most are shorter than a host expects. Send the length and depth and the composition is planned to it, including which end stays clear of the door and whether people can reach both sides. Where the surface is genuinely small, the answer is individual portions or graze cups, which also solve a seated session where nobody wants to stand up mid-discussion.

06

The pre-order checklist

These answers make a daytime quote accurate the first time, and every one of them changes the build.

  • Guest count and the arrival window
  • Whether people sit, stand, or keep working while eating
  • Dietary requirements collected in advance, never on the day
  • Loading, lift, parking and security sign-in
  • The setup time available before the session starts, and whether the space is booked for it
  • Where the serving pieces and the leftovers go afterwards
07

One event at a time

Each booking is quoted and built as its own event, which is what the $600 minimum and the per-event build reflect. Client visits, leadership sessions, training days, all-hands afternoons and team milestones are the natural fit. Repeat dates are welcome and each one is planned around its own agenda, and a standing weekly lunch subscription sits outside what OH! runs today.

08

Dietary handling in a working session

A meeting is exactly where a guest will quietly eat nothing sooner than interrupt, so the cards carry the whole load. Share dietary preferences and allergy information when you enquire. We plan suitable choices and label the table clearly. For severe or life-threatening allergies we talk through cross-contact before you book, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation on a shared table.

09

Costs, area and timing

Styled tables start at $42 per guest, plus applicable taxes, and the working range runs $42–$65 per guest, with the top of it being tables that replace a meal. Your quote is built from four things: guest count, table format, how long the event runs and the setup the room needs, and it separates food, styling and delivery so each part of the number is visible. The event minimum is $600 before delivery and taxes. Delivery and on-site styling are $45 within 25 km. Past that, the charge is quoted for your address before you book. We serve the City of Ottawa, Ontario. Kanata, Stittsville, Nepean, Barrhaven, Westboro, the central neighbourhoods, Orléans, Manotick and Riverside South sit inside the standard delivery area, where delivery and on-site styling are $45. Past 25 km the delivery charge is quoted for your address and appears on the quote before you book. Final guest count is due 7 days before the event. After that the shopping list is set: numbers can still rise, and the count stops coming down.

Questions, answered

Before you
say OH!

How far in advance should I book catering in Ottawa?

Two to four weeks is a comfortable planning window for a styled table. December dates, long-weekend Saturdays and shower season fill earliest, and short-notice weekday events are always worth asking about.

How do you handle allergies and dietary requirements?

Share dietary preferences and allergy information when you enquire. We plan suitable choices and label the table clearly. For severe or life-threatening allergies we talk through cross-contact before you book, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation on a shared table.

What does a styled table cost?

Styled tables start at $42 per guest, plus applicable taxes, and the working range runs $42–$65 per guest, with the top of it being tables that replace a meal. Your quote is built from four things: guest count, table format, how long the event runs and the setup the room needs, and it separates food, styling and delivery so each part of the number is visible. The event minimum is $600 before delivery and taxes. Delivery and on-site styling are $45 within 25 km. Past that, the charge is quoted for your address before you book.

What are the deposit, cancellation and final-count terms?

A 30% deposit and a signed quote hold your date, and the balance is due 3 days before the event. Move or cancel more than 14 days out and the deposit is refunded; inside that window it covers the sourcing already committed. Final guest count is due 7 days before the event. After that the shopping list is set: numbers can still rise, and the count stops coming down. Every figure is quoted plus applicable taxes.

Where do you deliver?

We serve the City of Ottawa, Ontario. Kanata, Stittsville, Nepean, Barrhaven, Westboro, the central neighbourhoods, Orléans, Manotick and Riverside South sit inside the standard delivery area, where delivery and on-site styling are $45. Past 25 km the delivery charge is quoted for your address and appears on the quote before you book.

How do I reach you?

Call +1 613 710-0554 with your date, guest count and neighbourhood, or send the same details through the enquiry form. We answer every enquiry within one business day, and the reply names the next step and the date being held while we talk.

What happens after I enquire?

We answer every enquiry within one business day, and the reply names the next step and the date being held while we talk. You send the date, guest count, neighbourhood and a sentence about the room. We reply with a starting format and the two or three questions that move the quote. You get one written quote separating food, styling, delivery and travel, with terms attached. A signed quote and deposit hold the date, then the menu is finalised around season and dietary needs. We arrive ahead of guests, build the table in the room and take the serving pieces away afterwards.

Do you run a recurring weekly lunch order?

Each booking is quoted and built as its own event, which is what the $600 minimum and the per-event build reflect. Repeat dates are welcome, and each one is planned around its own agenda and access window.

Can you set up before a 7 a.m. start?

Where the building lets us in, yes. Early starts turn on building access, the security desk and whether the room is booked for a setup window at all, so we confirm all three before quoting the time.

Who takes the serving pieces away?

We do, either at the end of the session or the next morning by arrangement with your facilities contact. Leftovers are boxed and left with you before we go.

Have a date in mind?

Let’s make the table the easiest part of the party.
