$8 a piece. We bake medovik as a sheet cake, cut it in squares and sell it by the square.

Free in Kanata, whatever the size of the order. Elsewhere in Ottawa we deliver an order of $50 or more, and agree the day with you by text.
How do I order medovik?
3 steps: say how many pieces you want in the form on this page and add other dishes if you like; we text you to agree the day; we bring the order to your door. Payment is by Interac e-Transfer once we confirm.
What is medovik made of?
8 or more thin honey layers make a classic medovik: a dough of honey, eggs, sugar, butter, flour and baking soda, sour cream frosting between the layers and crumbs on top. The cake rests overnight, and the layers turn soft. If anyone has an allergy, ask us about the ingredients before you order.
Is medovik Russian or Ukrainian?
1957 is the year of the earliest Soviet printed medovik recipe historians have found, in “Ukrainian Dishes”, a Ukrainian-language cookbook published in Kyiv. The story of a chef at the Russian imperial court is a legend with no record behind it. Medovik belongs to a honey-cake family shared across Eastern Europe, and in Ukraine families bake it for birthdays and holidays.
