OH! Catering franchise

A catering franchise, first partners wanted.

OH! Catering is a family business in Ottawa, started in the summer of 2026. We are packaging the format for partners in other cities: the styled share tables, the Ukrainian dishes and the drawn brand. People on the application list hear first when the programme opens.

Where it stands

What OH! is today

Anastasiia Stepanenko started OH! in the summer of 2026 and runs it with her mother, Nataliia. The business builds styled share tables in the client’s own room, for roughly 12 to 50 guests, from $42 per guest, and cooks Ukrainian dishes: varenyky, medovik, nalysnyky and kartoshka cake.

It is a service-area business. Food is prepared in a commercial kitchen in Ottawa that OH! rents by the hour, then delivered and composed on the table. There is no storefront, no lease and no published address. The first public day under the OH! name was the UAFest stand in Carleton Place on 13 September 2026.

We say how young the business is on purpose. A franchise is worth what its system can show, and you should weigh this one by what you can check: the menu, the prices on our pricing page, the family on the about page and the record of that first stand.

Guests, seen from behind, queue at a red tent beside the OH! Catering banner, in a park.

The format

What the format is made of

These pieces exist and run today. What goes into a partner package, and on what terms, is settled with the first partners and written into the disclosure document.

  1. 01

    The tables

Grazing, brunch, dessert and celebration tables, built on the host’s own surface and designed to run without staff behind them.

  2. 02

    The Ukrainian kitchen

Family recipes for varenyky, medovik, nalysnyky and kartoshka cake, cooked by Anastasiia and Nataliia.

  3. 03

    The drawn brand

The logo, the ink-and-oil colours and the page design, drawn by Anastasiia and kept in one design system.

  4. 04

    The light operating model

A kitchen rented by the hour, delivery inside a set radius, and a deposit that holds each date.

  5. 05

The website and the enquiry line

A site in five languages with a quote form, an order flow for frozen dishes and every enquiry delivered to the team in one chat.

Before anything is signed

The law comes first

Ontario’s Arthur Wishart Act requires a franchisor to hand a prospective franchisee a disclosure document at least 14 days before the franchisee signs any agreement relating to the franchise or pays anything toward it, apart from a small deposit that must be fully refundable. Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and, since 30 June 2026, Saskatchewan have franchise laws with the same 14-day rule.

So nothing on this page asks for a fee, a deposit or a signature. An application here is a request to hear about the programme. When the terms exist, they reach you in a disclosure document, and you take it to a franchise lawyer and an accountant of your choosing before deciding.

We publish no earnings, revenue or payback figures for an OH! franchise. Under the Ontario regulation, any such figure belongs in the disclosure document with the basis it was calculated on. The rules are set out in our guide to the Arthur Wishart Act and our guide to franchise disclosure laws by province.

Who we would like to hear from

People who already cook for others

  • Home cooks and bakers who are ready to move into a rented commercial kitchen.
  • Owners of a small food business, a café or a catering side line who want a format and a brand.
  • Event planners and hospitality people who know their city’s halls, offices and families.
  • Ukrainian and Eastern European cooks who want their dishes on a table people book.

Canada comes first, and every application from elsewhere is read too.

05

How it goes

Three steps, in this order

  1. 1

    You apply

Your city, what you do now, when you would like to start and how you can be reached.

  2. 2

    The family reads it

Anastasiia reads every application and answers in writing with questions about your city and your kitchen plans.

  3. 3

    Disclosure, then a decision

When the programme opens, the disclosure document comes first; you have at least 14 days with it before anything is signed or paid.

Questions

What people ask first

How much does an OH! Catering franchise cost?
No fee is set yet. The franchise fee, any royalty and every other cost will be written in the disclosure document, which you receive at least 14 days before signing or paying anything.
Can an OH! franchise run from a home kitchen?
No. Cheese, cured meat and cooked dishes are outside the low-risk foods Ontario allows a home-based food business to make, so the food is prepared in a rented commercial kitchen, the way OH! works in Ottawa.
How much does an OH! franchise earn?
No earnings figure is published. Any figure about what a franchise earns belongs in the disclosure document with its basis, and a franchise lawyer and an accountant should read it with you.
Which provinces have franchise disclosure laws?
Seven: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan, whose act took effect on 30 June 2026. Each requires a disclosure document at least 14 days before a franchise agreement is signed or money is paid.
Does applying cost anything or commit me to anything?
No. The application is a request to hear about the programme, with no fee and no obligation on either side.
